Our Father knows exactly what we need. In the midst of all life’s test we are reminded that God’s love is unconditionally poured out on us. We don’t have to perform, work, sacrifice or struggle for his love and grace. It’s ours, He gives it to us freely. Remembering blessings such as this can completely change your outlook on everything.
I’ve been tested in many aspects of my life but God’s grace and mercy have prepared me daily for this battle. Time with God prepares us for the battle again temptation. Even when I am weak and tired, spending time with God daily gives me strength to go on. He is using my places of pain to bring me closer to him. If I fail to be thankful for what I have now, why would God bless me with more?
He is elevating me in places of my life that are more valuable to the Kingdom of Heaven. I feel the transitions, the shifts, the changes, the growing pains and the struggles. I don’t know His plan or what is to come but I know what He has in store for me is going to bring glory to His name
“Surely the Lord is in this place, and I was not aware of it.” – Genesis 28:16
In a month centered around two important things in my life; Pregnancy & Infant Loss & Breast Cancer, I am finding myself spending more and more time every minute I get in prayer, devotion and meditation with God. Cancer isn’t easy, loss isn’t easy and infertility isn’t easy. Being equipped with the armor of God’s word makes things just a tad bit more bearable.
God’s transformation in our lives is one of a kind. We must stay focused on our faith and not our fear. Faith pleases God.
Faith for me is trusting God in a world of “conditions” “diagnosis” “financial responsibilities” and “test results.” Turning to the word and praise and worship in times of doubt and fear. Acknowledging my weakness in me but my strength in Him. Even on the “bad” days I remember just how blessed I really am. I don’t have to work for God’s love. I do not have to be perfect for God’s love. I don’t have to earn his love. He has already given it to me freely.
“Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word of Christ.” – Romans 10:17
